How to Help Amazon Rainforest Fires

How to Help Amazon Rainforest Fires

If you haven’t heard, the Amazon in Brazil is on fire. And yes, its very serious.

Media doesn’t even begin to cover how it impacts the Amazon’s natives.

Needless to say, it’s a tragedy. Please consider these options to help the Amazon’s recovery. All support is welcome.

1. Donate

The following organizations help the Amazon in their own ways including indigenous inhabitants support, forest regrowth, wildlife rehabilitation and more. We recommend doing your research on each. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide which efforts you want to support.

2. Reduce your Carbon Footprint

Although it wont necessarily make a direct  impact, do what you can to reduce your meat intake, trash accumulation and litter. Imagine if everyone started living a zero-waste lifestyle, the environmental impact would be significant.

3. Contact your Elected Officials and Speak Out

Change within the system is often what we need most. Contact your elected officials here or send a message here.

4. Spread the Word

Tell your friends and family about what’s going on. Post about it on social media. Share actionable ways to help. Don’t be silent. The Amazon needs our support.

5. Pray

Simple, but important. The least we can do is send the Amazon our loving intentions. #PrayfortheAmazonas
