How to Help Amazon Rainforest Fires
If you haven’t heard, the Amazon in Brazil is on fire. And yes, its very serious.
Media doesn’t even begin to cover how it impacts the Amazon’s natives.
Needless to say, it’s a tragedy. Please consider these options to help the Amazon’s recovery. All support is welcome.
The following organizations help the Amazon in their own ways including indigenous inhabitants support, forest regrowth, wildlife rehabilitation and more. We recommend doing your research on each. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide which efforts you want to support.
Support current efforts to help affected areas, provide prevention training, and educate on sustainability management
Defend indigenous rights to land, life and cultural survival in the Amazon rainforest
Protect the forest and it’s guardians
Protect the rainforest, defend indigenous rights, and address climate change

Support grassroots leadership and local organizations in forest regions to protect threatened forest lands and to protect the human rights of communities that have co-existed with and depended on these regions for generations
Conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth.
2. Reduce your Carbon Footprint
Although it wont necessarily make a direct impact, do what you can to reduce your meat intake, trash accumulation and litter. Imagine if everyone started living a zero-waste lifestyle, the environmental impact would be significant.
3. Contact your Elected Officials and Speak Out
4. Spread the Word
Tell your friends and family about what’s going on. Post about it on social media. Share actionable ways to help. Don’t be silent. The Amazon needs our support.
Simple, but important. The least we can do is send the Amazon our loving intentions. #PrayfortheAmazonas
